smart one you are, i have the same thing, i have 2 Yahoo addresses as well, one for personal and one for where my online bills go to, where i sign up for newsletters etc.
just make sure you are signed out of your main Yahoo ID and then there should be a "sign up" link over near the right side where all those mail and weather Icons are, just create a new Yahoo ID for yourself and you'll be on your way!
I dont use Yahoo Messenger anymore, a friend showed me this integrated chat program called Trillian.
it merges the MSN, AIM and Yahoo all into one and transfers your contact lists too, so if you did have 2 yahoo ID's an wanted to be able to chat w/ both of them, you can log in with both names at the same time with Trillian and it will also notify you of new mail on any or all of your mail accts.
