what is email marketing, how it is done and spreaded to public?
there are frequently the website that offer the promise of going to show us the money by sending their email ad, is that real in most of the cases

Email marketing could arguably be replacing direct mail marketing. Companies can buy databases full of email address targeting the people they want to reach… for example within a particular region, or only doctors. Then companies send out email blasts to those email addresses. It can be effective, but the problems lie in SPAM guards, Junk Mail filters, etc…
YES, it is real I think. It's called SPAM which is against the law unless if receiver have requested and agree to receive unsolicited email/newsletters or receiver may ask you to pay up to $5 per email by federal law.
