Is email marketing useful?

When you're marketing a product that people don't know they want, is email marketing a useful tool? Good product and the boss wants results, but small budget for it of course…

If you have no prior relationship with the email receipients, NO.

Because basically you'll be spamming them — and that could lead to your website or ISP to be blacklisted. Or worse, get sued for violating the CAN-SPAM Act. You'll be starting off on the wrong foot

If you want to do email marketing, understand the spam laws. Then start building your list. Or buy into email lists of others - there are companies that offer solo mailing ads to their email subscribers and you can rent their list for a fee.

It's very useful if you use it right, which is requires allot of hard work.

You need to set up a good informative website that will allow users the choice of signing up for a newsletter. Thats the hard part.

You can skip that part and just purchase the emails through a site like which is allot easier and in the long run less expensive, but it is also less effective.

or, you can have someone create the website for you with a link to sign up to your newletter.

Next you need to write very good informative emails, to keep from being added to a spam folder. You can have someone right it for you at I would recomend doing so to start with.

Most companies have switched from email marketing to rss feeds because the spammers have ruined the market for everyone.

rss feeds allows you to write artiles and place them online, people who sign up for your feeds will be notified of your new articles. I would suggest you to look into this because this.

Good luck!
